Where You'll Go
Rome — The Eternal City (Days 1–3)
Your journey begins in Rome with a welcome dinner featuring regional specialties. Over two full days you'll tour the Vatican Museums, stand inside the Sistine Chapel under Michelangelo's masterpiece, visit St. Peter's Basilica, and take in panoramic views of the Colosseum and Circus Maximus. Rome does not ease you in — it commands your full attention from the first hour.
Umbria & Assisi — The Soul of Italy (Days 4–5)
Traveling north from Rome, you'll stop in hilltop Orvieto before arriving in Assisi — the medieval birthplace of St. Francis — for a guided tour of the Basilica. A visit to a traditional Umbrian olive mill caps the day with an extra virgin olive oil tasting and a regional dinner you will not forget.
Tuscany & Florence — Art, History, and Flavor (Days 6–7)
A stop in Cortona — the village made famous by Under the Tuscan Sun — sets the tone before you reach Florence. The full walking tour covers the Duomo, the Baptistery, Piazza della Signoria, and the Palazzo Vecchio. The afternoon is yours to wander, browse the Mercato Centrale, or book the optional Tuscan Feast at a historic monastery.
Chianti & Venice — Wine, Glass, and Grand Canals (Days 8–10)
The final stretch is the most unforgettable. Start at a historic winery in the heart of the Chianti region, where you'll join a chef-led cooking class in a 12th-century castle, then sit down to eat and drink what you made. From there the journey continues over the Apennines to Venice — 117 islands, zero cars, and no place like it on earth. A boat trip to Murano Island for a live glass-blowing demonstration, a walking tour through the Castello district to St. Mark's Square, and a farewell dinner round out the experience. An optional serenaded gondola ride is yours if you want it.
